12 STEP RECOVERY
AN INTRODUCTION TO 12 STEP PROGRAMS
The 12-Step Recovery program is the most popular and well-known treatment program we offer here at The Akasha Center. The 12-step approach to recovery has been very successful in helping those dealing with addiction to alcohol or drugs. We guide clients through the 12 steps, also known as the 12 principles to recovery, in our nurturing and healing environment. A typical day may include individual and group therapy, exercise, holistic activities, and attending 12-step meetings. Treatment centers offer AA and NA meetings and provide transportation to AA and NA meetings outside of treatment centers as well.
How Akasha Combines the 12 Steps + Treatment
The staff at The Akasha Center treatment centers includes counselors, social workers, certified addiction professionals and counselors, certified behavioral health technicians, and certified recovery coaches. The traditional 12-step recovery process focuses on recovery in all areas: physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual.
We also keep a strong focus on family and repairing family relationships that are so often compromised because of addiction. The Akasha Center’s family-centered and proven approach to recovery has been very successful for clients looking to break free from addiction. If you or a loved one is suffering from addiction, you are in the right place! Contact us today for a confidential chat with an admissions counselor.
Take Your First Step Towards Recovery Now
The Akasha Center’s recovery centers believe that what works for someone may not work for another. Your recovery plan will be customized to fit your needs and your progress will depend on you – not a set timeline. Treatment usually begins with an inpatient stay as part of our step-down approach to recovery.
All of our plans are customized based on your needs and include your choice of recovery programs, like traditional 12-step recovery. Akasha focuses on providing a welcoming, supportive, and healing environment for our clients and their families.
