Akasha Recovery is a premier drug and alcohol detox and rehab in beautiful San Diego, California. At Akasha, we believe in our client’s inner strength and ability to heal.
We know that finding the right drug and alcohol addiction treatment center is overwhelming. However, finding the right detox or rehab that provides valuable and multifaceted support is critical to each individual’s successful recovery. Akasha Recovery believes that it is the individual that will determine their results; the power lies within each person to be successful in their recovery. At our San Diego drug rehab, we provide our clients with every tool at our disposal to teach and guide them in ways to transition into a new way of life without the need to continue using substances to cope and understand why their life may depend on creating a lifestyle free of chemical use. Through our treatment services, the person learns how to tap into their own inner strength as well as outside support that they will be able to carry with them long after their time with Akasha is over.

Our philosophy supports relapse prevention, healthy coping skills, and providing continued insight into the recovery process. We understand that most times the hardest step is the first one, admitting that you need help. We strive to take our clients from just hoping for successful recovery to achieving it while at Akasha Recovery.
Our goal is to assist our clients to find peace and serenity by walking through their fears vs. hiding from them by engaging in chemical use. We believe in our program, but even more importantly we believe in our clients – making the decision to come to treatment is a decision that takes an admirable amount of strength, courage, and determination that those who do not have experience with addiction may not fully understand. Our team does understand this struggle and, with compassion and empathy, walks you through it.

AKASHA Defined
Akasha means the basis and essence of all things in the material world . . . the first element created. In Hinduism, that means that all things derive from Akasha – first appeared the space, from which appeared air, from that fire, from there water, and thereafter earth. Akasha is the one, eternal and all pervading physical substance, which is imperceptible.
WHAT WE DO
Akasha Recovery is not a one size fits all drug and alcohol addiction treatment program. Our treatment modality is designed to treat adult men and women struggling with addiction as well as co-occurring mental health disorders.
Akasha is a small and intimate inpatient addiction treatment program located on the beach near beautiful San Diego, California. Our drug and alcohol addiction rehab programs are designed to stabilize each individual client while providing the foundation needed to support their ongoing recovery process. Akasha encompasses the mental, emotional, and spiritual dimensions of recovery. Providing quality treatment for individuals with co-occurring disorders, chemical dependency, as well as other addictions based on each client’s needs.

OUR TEAM
Ron has worked in the treatment industry for 30 years in a variety of positions with treatment facilities in Utah, Missouri, and California. This experience includes private practice, clinical directorship, consulting, and training.
Ron’s areas of expertise include alcohol and/or drug abuse, mood disorders, anxiety disorders, trauma related disorders, learning disorders, mending relationships, working with clients to thrive using their survival instincts, and teaching clients pragmatic, holistic wellness and recovery plans.
Ron is the father of an amazing daughter, and he loves spending time at the ocean (California!) and the mountains (Utah!). Ron loves researching treatment approaches, being in the outdoors, and traveling during his free time.
Aaron Price founded the Akasha Recovery Center in 2019 to serve as a space for empowerment and healing for those battling addiction. Inspired by his personal journey of reconciliation, and passion for a new found love and respect for life.
Aaron is proudly a recognized enrolled member of the Choctaw Nation and descendent of the Chickasaw Tribe.
A model of unwavering discipline, Aaron has cultivated his mind, body, and spirit to achieve true self-empowerment. His devotion to personal development and ancient wisdom, drawn from shamanic cultures, alchemy, and Kundalini Yoga, complements his approach to recovery.
Aaron’s life is filled with inspired magic, fueled by his reverence for nature’s majesty, the thrill of travel, and the profound beauty of life. These inspirations have shaped his daily life, influencing his mission to provide a compassionate, holistic approach to addiction recovery at the Akasha Recovery Center, which he considers a sacred responsibility – to share the blessings that have been bestowed to him though his journey.
Sparrow Goudey is a Tsalagi/Wyandot international trainer and rep for White Bison’s Wellbriety Training Institute, as well as the founder of Healing the Circle Workshops. With over 32 years of continuous sobriety, she has developed and conducts workshops at various treatment facility programs throughout Southern California for both Native and non-Native communities that assist adults and adolescents affected by drugs, alcohol, eating disorders, and mental illness by incorporating curriculum, traditional arts and spirituality as tools for change, growth, and recovery.
